This position reports to the Director, Advanced Manufacturing.

Annual renewable 12-month appointment.

Coordinator supports the initiation and implementation of the Apprenticeship program, requiring involvement with the development, marketing, coordination, and implementation of credit and non-credit industrial and engineering technology. The Coordinator also facilitates the delivery of educational/training programs for the business/industry community.

  • Support the Director in the local-level implementation of various federal, state and local grants including data collection and evaluation.

  • Supports project operation planning and policies together with the program core team and evaluators; and contribute to and evaluate the continuous process improvement plan for the project.

  • Facilitates industrial and engineering technology training programs on-campus and off-campus both credit and non-credit activity.

  • Facilitates consulting services to clients/customers as required.

  • Assist students/apprentices with problems, complaints and in devising equitable responses and solutions in a success based environment.

  • Registers all non-credit training participants in the WEDCE customized database, processes invoices and payments, collaborating with the RSC Business Office.

  • Contribute to and assist data collection from various reporting systems.

  • Assists with grant applications as requested.

  • Support facilitation of faculty in their recruitment, selection, and involvement for non- credit courses.

  • Meet with students to discuss problems and complaints and assist in devising equitable responses and solutions.

  • Organize and facilitate curriculum development and customization activities with faculty, subject matter experts, company representatives, and student groups.

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate services based upon project, department, and College requirements, tools and systems.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

BS in Technology, Technology Education, Engineering or equivalent knowledge, experience and education. MS preferred. Project management experience. Familiarity with west central and northwest Ohio business/industry community is desirable. Previous technical experience in an Industrial/Manufacturing company with tangible knowledge and skills within manufacturing. Previous teaching/facilitating experiences a plus. Methods and tools State of the art and college communication, data tracking, and organizational tools: All Evaluation documents and standards. MS-project (or equivalent) for time scheduling.
