Job Summary
The Department of Environmental and Occupational Health (EOH), in the Drexel University Dornsife School of Public Health, is recruiting for a Post-Doctoral Fellow in climate epidemiology and children's health to focus on climate-related exposures (e.g., ozone, extreme temperature), children’s health, and community assets/ resilience.
This position is supported by both an NIH R01 and EPA STAR collaborative grants, in collaboration with Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, aimed at identifying community assets which may ameliorate impacts of climate-related exposures on child health. The Post-Doctoral Research Associate will contribute to early stages of study implementation, collaboration with community leaders, identification and analysis of community asset indicators in geographic information systems (GIS), epidemiologic analysis of large statewide hospital-based datasets, and communication of study results to government, clinicians, and community leaders in Upstate New York.
Applicants should have substantial experience in air pollution epidemiology, familiarity with air pollution exposure science, and experience in GIS. The successful applicant should also have experience in statistical modeling using SAS or R, a strong interest in a career in environmental health research, and strong interpersonal and communications skills.
