NURSE PRACTITIONER, MIT Medical, to provide direct patient care to MIT Medical patients. Will assess patients’ health status through interview and physical exam and synthesize this clinical information to formulate health status and diagnosis, develop a plan of care and treatment, implement the treatment plan, and evaluate follow up strategies according to age-specific plans of care. Will also provide health education, supportive counseling, and clinical outreach to the MIT community in collaboration with other individuals or services at MIT Medical as well as across the MIT community. All work is done in accordance with MIT Medical policies and state and federal rules, regulations, and standards of care.

REQUIRED: a master’s degree in nursing and graduation from an accredited family nurse practitioner program; a current advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) certification; a current provider card in basic life support (BLS); MA board authorization to practice as an advanced practice nurse; and valid prescriptive authority from both the MA DPH-DCP and federal DEA.
