Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
The veterinary parasitology lab seeks a post-doctoral research associate who will be an active part of the lab and contribute to research during this training program. This position will train by studying P-glycoprotein transporters in parasitic nematodes. The incumbent will conduct PCR testing to detect gene expression and will conduct molecular cloning to obtain full-length gene sequences for heterologous expression. In addition, the incumbent will develop methods for isolation of nematode gut cells in culture for flow cytometric analysis.
