Job Description:
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
This postdoctoral scientist will contribute to the design and execution of experiments to elucidate the nature of the association of Maize chlorotic mottle virus with maize seeds and to estimate the risk of seed transmission under different management scenarios. This postdoc will analyze, archive, and interpret data, review and keep up-to-date on relevant scientific literature, prepare presentations and manuscripts, assist the principal investigator with reports and the writing of grant proposals, and assist other laboratory members with training and advice.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
PhD or Doctoral Degree
Preferred Qualifications:
PhD in Plant Pathology or Agronomy
Experience in maize seed research
Experience with ELISA and PCR laboratory methods
