The University of Notre Dame has an exciting opportunity for Laundry Attendant at St Michaels Laundry.
Why this position?
As a laundry attendant, you will process incoming, soiled, and outgoing, clean laundry in accordance with set laundry quality and quantity standards. In this role, you will be cross-trained in a variety of work areas such as soil sorting, drying, finishing, and assembling. Laundry attendant’s will be trained in both automated and manual laundry processes using a variety of industrial laundry equipment as well as all safety procedures.

Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-2 years of related work experience
- Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds and push/pull heavy loads up to 300 pounds up ramps
- Must be able to work with strict schedules and deadlines to meet unique customer demands
- Must be able to operate wash line and dryer equipment
- Proven track record of safely operating motor vehicles
- As backup driver – must be willing to work additional shifts and weekends for special University events
Preferred Qualifications
- Indiana State Drivers License (valid and current)
- DOT Certification required (for 10,000-16,000 GVW)
