Position Highlights | The University of Arizona Cancer Center (UACC) is a National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated comprehensive cancer center dedicated to the prevention and cure of cancer through patient care, research, and education. The UACC has recently been re-designated as a National Cancer Institute Comprehensive Cancer Center. The UACC is the only NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center headquartered in the State of Arizona and one of only 53 in the nation. The laboratories of Drs. Jennifer Carew and Steffan Nawrocki are seeking a talented postdoctoral research associate to join their team to pursue innovative projects focused on the development of novel anticancer agents. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and independent individual with an established track record of research achievement. Candidates must have a doctoral degree, first authored peer-reviewed original publications, and expertise in cancer biology, pharmacology, or molecular biology. Prior experience working with mouse models of cancer is required. Special consideration will be given to applicants who have experience evaluating the mechanisms of action and efficacy of experimental anticancer agents. Interested applicants should have extensive experience in biology, chemistry, and/or molecular and cellular biology techniques. The successful candidate will perform independent research utilizing techniques, and animal experiments using advanced methods and procedures.
