Job Description:
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
A full-time postdoctoral research associate is sought for a project on “developing new graphical solution methods for mixed-integer nonlinear programs” under the direction of Danial Davarnia at Iowa State University. This individual will contribute to developing fundamental solution techniques for mixed-integer nonlinear programs based on decision diagrams, using the developed techniques to solve application problems, and testing the solution performance in comparison with modern solvers
Required Minimum Qualifications:
A PhD in industrial engineering, operations research, or a related field is required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with formulating and solving integer and nonlinear programs
- Knowledge of network optimization and cutting plane methods
- Familiarity with object-oriented programming as well as solvers such as CPLEX/Gurobi
