NETWORK/OPS SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR, MIT Federal Credit Union (MITFCU), to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of inhouse information systems (IT) that support core organizational functions. Will monitor, maintain, support, and optimize networked software and associated operating systems; apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving methods to identify, communicate, and resolve IT issues; and help mentor and provide guidance to staff. Responsibilities include collaborating with network staff to ensure the smooth and reliable operation of software and systems; researching software and systems and recommending purchases; deploying new applications and enhancements to existing applications/software/operation systems; gauging the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and developing and implementing strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems; performing server and security audits, system back-ups, and recovery processes; building and integrating servers and software into current enterprise systems; ensuring system connectivity; creating and maintaining documentation; ensuring compatibility and interoperability of in-house computer systems; monitoring and testing system performance; monitoring and make recommendation for MITFCU systems and subsystems; monitoring operations for breaches in security, incident response, and resolution; assisting on projects and budget; running in-house computer systems; supporting and troubleshooting Windows network, PC hardware/software, and office equipment; maintaining and updating server/PC security patches/virus protection; performing root cause analysis of IT systems and implement resolutions; and liaising between CU staff and technical support.
