Growing lab is looking for an experienced research lab specialist, preferably with a doctorate degree, to design and perform experiments, troubleshoot, and help oversee lab operations. There may be opportunities to help write portions of papers and grants as appropriate, commensurate with training level of the candidate. The lab performs vision research with an interest in RPE cell dysfunction in inherited retinal diseases. Induced pluripotent stem cell- derived RPE cell cultures are used, with possible use of animal models in future.

1. Oversee day to day operations of the Fahim Laboratory.
2. Work with the PI (Dr. Fahim) on the development and implementation of the research plan and research goals for her laboratory.

Research Lab Specialist Senior
Bachelor’s Degree required. 5-6 years of related experience. Master’s or Doctoral Degree preferred.
Research Lab Specialist Inter
Bachelor’s Degree is required. 4-5 years of experience in a related field. Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree preferred.
This position may be underfilled at a lower classification depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
