FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATOR, Open Learning, to oversee and report on the financial performance of several business units and manage a varied portfolio of sponsored awards. Key responsibilities include supporting the development of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts; acting as a resource for business units on transactional inquiries and financial/budgetary questions; ensuring the support of day-to-day financial operations and internal controls, including review and approval of financial transactions; assisting with pre-award activities, including proposal and budget development, proposal submission, and award and account set-up; providing monthly and quarterly reporting and forecasting to principal investigators (PIs); strategizing with business unit leads and PIs on resource allocation, effort/salary allocations across projects, and payroll changes; processing budget revisions, no-cost extensions, and amendments; subrecipient monitoring; assisting with financial reporting requirements to various funding organizations; interpreting award terms/conditions and advising on financial and sponsored matters; ensuring financial compliance with MIT policies/procedures and applicable legal rules/regulations; and performing related duties.
