Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
Dr. Gelli’s intelligent cyber-physical system (iCPS) lab and his R&D group is performing research on cybersecurity and resiliency of critical energy infrastructure, particularly, designing and developing systems and tools to protect modern power systems from cyberattack, and enhance grid resiliency against disruptions such as cyber attacks, power system faults, natural climate events, etc.,. Two postdoctoral positions open until finished.
The successful candidate will develop R&D and perform novel research on cybersecurity and resilience of distributed energy resources, integrated distribution grids and bulk power systems. A prior R&D and work experience on the cyber-physical systems and security, testbeds, and modeling/simulation work is preferred. They will be comfortable working in multidisciplinary research on power and energy systems, cybersecurity, communication networks, machine and deep learning, and cloud computing, and hardware-in-the-loop testbed environments where we learn constantly. A high degree of professionalism, curiosity, and ethical conduct is required. Outstanding communication is a must - written, verbal, and via presentations.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Relevant PhD in electrical engineering, computer engineering or equivalent.
