Essential Job Duties
The research project will be focused on food science and technology, with emphasis on production of food ingredients and formulation of food products.
The selected student will test different drying technologies applied to elderberry juice and elderberry pomace extract and establish protocols for the incorporation of fruit powders into food model products. The visiting student will analyze the composition of food ingredients and final food products regarding their physicochemical attributes, and functional attributes. Additionally, the selected student will assist with daily laboratory operations, equipment set up and scale-up activities.
