FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATOR, Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL), to support J-PAL’s work by performing grants management and financial planning, including managing research awards, working with MIT grants staff to execute grant awards in a timely manner, tracking financials, and the submission of proposals into MIT’s grants management system. Will work with J-PAL’s research, policy, and training teams to make sure their needs for financial management, planning, and reporting are met.
Job Requirements: REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree in a related field; at least two years’ relevant experience; ability to utilize verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate a message particular to an audience and to meet relevant goals using clear, concise, and appropriate language; ability to handle interruptions throughout the day in order to manage requests, handle several different projects/tasks at one time, successfully complete assigned tasks, and meet deadlines; self-motivation and willingness to learn; ability to self-manage workflow while maintaining high-quality output and accuracy with details; comfort learning computer applications, including Salesforce; self-motivation; desire to continuously improve processes and work in teams; and comfort with and adeptness at working in a diverse and multicultural work environment with colleagues, partners, and policymakers from around the world.
