DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS OPERATIONS, Massachusetts Green High Performance Computing Center (MGHPCC), to oversee the business affairs of the MGHPCC data center and consortium; and support the consortium’s research, education, and outreach activities. Will manage the business and financial systems for internal operation of the MGHPCC; participate in grant proposals and act as fiscal sponsor for projects; provide administrative support for education and outreach activities; manage business relationships with vendors, contractors, and non-member users of the facility; manage the life-cycle of all grants and contracts from proposal through close-out; ensure compliance with employment law best practices; serve as human resources liaison and advise MGHPCC supervisors on routine HR processes and issue resolution; interpret, implement, and ensure compliance with MIT and MGHPCC policies/procedures; manage reporting of progress and financial status to members/the Commonwealth/federal government/industry sponsors/funding agencies, including required tax filings; work with member university counterparts on the efficient exchange of invoicing, capital forecasts, usage forecasts, information for tax filings, and other financial information; understand and comply with MGHPCC security policies; and perform other duties as assigned. Job Requirements:REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree in a related field; five years’ finance and administration experience; business operations experience; fluency with financial management systems; good communication skills; ability to work with a diverse set of university and community constituencies who have wide-ranging and sometimes conflicting interests; in-depth understanding of principles and theories of nonprofit business operations and broad understanding of related disciplines; and experience managing others or leading projects/programs/functions.
