Description of Duties:
The applicant will assist on weeknights from 5:30pm to 9:00pm on Monday - Thursday and from 3:00pm to 8:00pm on Sundays.
Specific Duties:
1) Monitor the computer lab and trouble shoot computer/printer issues
2) Assist with group study room reservations
3) Assist students in finding and checking out library resources
4) Assist students with Interlibrary Loan requests
5) Issue TexShare cards
6) Provide library assistance by phone and online via live chat.
Travel Required: No
Experience and Training: Experience working with the public in a library, clerical, or comparable setting. College experience preferred.
Education: High School diploma or GED
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Applicants should 1) Have good oral and written communication skills and a customer service oriented approach to assisting patrons; 2) Have general computer knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel 3) Be punctual, reliable and ale to work well independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
Preferred Qualifications: College experience preferred
Minimum Educational Qualifications: High School diploma, GED
Salary or Salary Range: This is an hourly position paying $10 per hour with a guaranteed 19 hours per week. Applications accepted until position filled. This position is available on July 14th, 2022.
