Posting Summary | Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow for the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey. A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Kyle Payne at the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey to conduct research in the immunobiology of cancer and cancer immunotherapy within the Rutgers Cancer Immunology and Metabolism Center of Excellence. Research in the Payne lab focuses defining and targeting immune regulatory mechanisms in cancer (Science, 2020; Immunity, 2017). Current investigations are centered on dissecting divergent responses of leukocytes and cancer cells to tumor microenvironment-induced stress, as well as to define metabolic perturbations associated with these cellular stress responses. We pursue these studies by leveraging our novel mouse models, advanced technical approaches, and human specimens. Highly motivated candidates with experience in immunology, T cell biology, and cancer biology are encouraged to apply. Postdoctoral Fellows are expected to establish an innovative, collaborative research program addressing important and fundamental questions. Interdisciplinary and translational approaches are encouraged. Qualified candidates must be in the process of completing training for Ph.D. and/or M.D. graduate degrees with a strong publication record and looking to move to the next stage of their training.
