| Posting Summary | A postdoctoral research associate position is available working in the multidisciplinary areas of molecular biology, biochemistry, and plant stress physiology using a system approach combining transcriptomics, metabolomics and high through-put phenotyping to determine regulatory mechanisms conferring plant tolerance to abiotic stress (i.e. heat, drought or salinity) in perennial grass species. The candidate shall have expertise and experiences with bioinformatics (data acquisition, result interpretation, and data visualization) for transcriptomics using Illumina or next-generation sequencing and LC-MS metabolomics experiments and plant stress physiology techniques. | Minimum Education and Experience | Ph.D. in Crop Science or Plant Biology with experiences and training in Plant Molecular Biology, Plant Physiology and Biochemistry is required. PhD in Functional Genomics with relevant skills is desirable. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an established publication record are expected. |
