Posting Summary | The Center for Women and Work (CWW) housed in the Rutgers School of Management and Labor Relations, engages in research, education and programming that promotes economic and social equity for women workers, their families, and communities. CWW’s work focuses on addressing women’s economic stability and well-being; women’s advancement in the workplace; providing technical assistance and designing research and programming for educators, industry and government; and engaging in issues that directly affect the living standards of working families in New Jersey and around the world. This one-year post-doctoral fellowship, with the possibility of a second-year renewal, provides the opportunity to contribute toward a range of CWW research projects. Projects may include advancing understanding about the state of gender equity in select professions; the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on women workers and their families; paid and unpaid care work; and, how public policies support or hinder women and/or working families. The post-doctoral associate will have opportunity to advance their own research while also collaborating with the CWW team on designing and implementing research projects, preparation of reports and related deliverables, and on supervising research assistants as needed. The post-doctoral associate will work closely with and be mentored by a CWW faculty member or affiliate faculty member. The fellowship offers a $55,000 salary, health and insurance, and other benefits. This position will begin by January 2022. |

Minimum Education and Experience | A Ph.D. in economics, IRHR, public policy, sociology, or related fields(s). Quantitative data analysis skills, including capacity to perform statistical programming and data analysis of microdata for the U.S. Strong writing and communication skills. Demonstrated interest or commitment to advancing economic and social opportunity, equity and/or justice for women, families, and/or communities. Experience utilizing mixed research methods strongly preferred. |
