Course Description:
This course provides an overview of the management of organizational behavior and leading people. As careers advance from the individual contributor to the leadership level, concerns about technical knowledge need to be complemented with knowledge about how to coordinate, motivate, and lead others. Leading People is designed to help provide an integration of your technical skills with the human side of organizations.
Reporting Relationships:
Adjunct Faculty will report to an Academic Dean
Responsibilities:
Competency-Based Education (CBE) allows students to master content and skills within a course or program at their own pace and prioritizes the demonstration of student learning over time.
Students are able to show what they know when they know it. CBE courses are broken into multiple modules that are self-paced. Each module has an assessment at the end of it that allows students to demonstrate their mastery of the material.
CBE Assessment Adjunct Faculty members focus on grading the work coming in from students. They are assigned a set number of students that are theirs and all submissions from those students are graded by their assessment faculty member.
Grading is facilitated through the use of detailed rubrics and feedback. Very little direct communication is had with students and more attention is put on the grading itself. This allows for an unbiased grading process and a faculty member with an expert understanding of the course project and its requirements.
