POSITION: DIRECTOR OF FACILITIES & FLEET MAINTENANCE #229

EXPERIENCE AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Associates degree or equivalent required. Trades certifications are required. Ten (10) years related experience preferred. Must know how to use word processing, spreadsheet, and facilities management applications. Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent supervisory skills. Ability to promptly respond to on-site emergency situations. Familiar with all facets of Physical Plant operations to include maintenance, repair and preventative maintenance. Knowledge of and ability to use equipment in areas of maintenance, grounds, and custodial functions. Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs. and stand, walk, climb, crouch, kneel, or bend for long periods. Must have and maintain a valid Texas drivers license. Pre-employment physical exam is required.
DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES: Oversees and supervises all areas of the Big Spring site Physical Plant operations and provides assistance for the SWCD site as needed. May work independently including evenings and weekends as needed. Responsible for the planning, organizing, and directing of the physical plant and the supervision of physical plant staff. SALARY RANGE: $50,778 - $58,334
