The Dominican University (IL) Psychology Department is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach 1 section of Introduction to Psychology during the fall semester of 2021 (start is August 30, 2021; complete schedule posted here). Course modality for the fall is flexible: it can be online with synchronous meetings or in-person in a classroom suitable for instruction with distancing.
Course enrollment is capped at 32 students. The class can be scheduled daytime hours MWF for 50 minutes per meeting or Tue/Thurs for 75 minutes per meeting.
The course uses the Psychology text by Cervone & Caldwell (2015), instructors in other sections can provide some materials, and there is an all-section TA who can provide some grading help. We’re a supportive and welcoming department.
Preference will be given to applicants who can reprise this offering in-person during the spring semester. Please indicate in your application materials your availability for spring 2022.
