Lake Tahoe Community College's vision is to be California's Premier Destination Community College. To bring this to fruition, LTCC announces an opportunity to work as a part-time, Allied Health adjunct faculty member.
Adjunct Instructors are categorized as part-time, contracted faculty teaching assigned courses on a quarter or annual basis. Part-time faculty positions do not exceed 67% of a full-time faculty member's load.
Applicant will secure and maintain home internet access during the duration of their employment to ensure regular and consistent contact with students.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:
Under the direction of the Dean of Workforce Development and Instruction, teach assigned courses in the Allied Health discipline's curriculum specificaly Emergency Medical Technician.
This course provides instruction to the level of Emergency Medical Technician (previously called EMT-I or EMT Basic). Students will acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to provide emergency medical care at a basic life support level with a fire, ambulance, or other specialized service. This course is instructed in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and the California Code of Regulations, and is approved by the El Dorado County EMS Authority (Title 22). Successful students will be prepared for EMT certification through the National Registry. This course requires participation in clinical experiences taking place in emergency room departments of hospitals and in operational ambulance units.
QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED:
Emergency Medical Technologies
Any bachelor's degree or higher and two years of professional experience,
Or any associate degree and six years of professional experience,
Or the equivalent.
