Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
- The Vice President for Administration and Chief Financial Officer provides strategic, college-wide leadership for the operational areas of Facilities Management and Planning, Finance, Financial Aid, and Foundation Reporting. The Vice President for Administration & Chief Financial Officer reports directly to the College President and serves on the President’s Cabinet.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the financial, operational, and administrative well-being of the college. Assist the College President in implementing and executing policy decisions through administrative and operational oversight of the college’s daily operations.
- Provide strategic, college-wide leadership for the operational areas of Facilities Management and Planning, Finance, Financial Aid, and Foundation Reporting.
- Develop, implement, and monitor an annual fiscal operating plan for the college.
- Provide accurate and timely reporting of business operations to internal and external constituencies of the college.
- Serve as the college’s Contract Administration Officer, ensuring compliance with all relevant State, Federal, and System laws and regulations.
- Provide oversight for the financial accounting and reporting functions of the TCC Educational Foundation and its subsidiary entities.
- Provide oversight for the financial accounting and reporting function for the TCC Real Estate Foundation.
- Manage the financial accounting and reporting functions of the Community College Workforce Cooperative (CCWC).
- Develop long-range facilities plans, including new construction and renovation of existing facilities.
- Ensure safe, clean, and operational facilities for students, faculty, staff, and external constituencies.
- Foster diversity, equity, and inclusion among students, faculty, and staff.
- Supervise assigned staff in the operational areas as delineated above.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Special Assignments
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
KSA's/Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of the operational areas of Facilities management and planning, Finance, Financial Aid Processing and Compliance, and Foundation Reporting as delineated above.
- Extensive experience in higher education administration, particularly in the areas encompassed by this vice presidency, with demonstrated results in managing people and tasks in a highly complex work environment with constant deadlines and reporting requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct long-range planning relative to the college’s administrative and financial functions; to provide information to a wide range of college faculty and staff and community and business leaders; to supervise assigned staff and build a highly effective team; to make first-rate oral and written presentations; to organize, analyze and innovate; and to negotiate and communicate effectively while establishing cooperative working relationships with a diverse array of individuals contacted in the course of the performance of assigned duties.
- Proven ability to promote the professional growth of staff.
- Demonstrated commitment to promoting cultural diversity, equity, and inclusion as a core value of the college community.
- Demonstrated understanding of resource planning and allocation in the context of a large, preferably multi-campus community college setting.
- Demonstrated ability to function in a large, highly complex organizational structure, with experience in a multi-campus community college setting preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding of and belief in the comprehensive mission of the community college.
- Master’s degree in a related field from an institutionally accredited college or university.
