JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Jing Laboratory at the Graduate Program in Acoustics, the Pennsylvania State University is currently seeking candidates for the position of a postdoctoral scholar.
The position requires a Ph.D., preferably in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field, and will primarily conduct research on photoacoustic tomography for functional imaging. Preferred candidates should have significant knowledge in acoustic wave propagation and medical ultrasound. Candidates familiar with numerical modeling of acoustic waves and ultrasound imaging are of interest.
The successful candidate will play a primary role in image reconstruction algorithm development and photoacoustic imaging experiments. The ability to plan, execute, interpret, summarize, and publish research results within a collaborative environment is essential. Good communication skills are important and teaching skills are highly desired.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR).
