Compensation: Hourly Rate of $16.47 as per the Santa Fe College Salary Schedule. Will work a maximum of approximately 20 hours per week.
Financial Aid at Santa Fe College assists students and their families by providing financial assistance to help cover educational expenses and related costs. Financial Aid receives, processes and disburses various types of financial aid, including grants, loans and scholarships based on federal, state and college policy. The Office of Financial Aid and the Admissions Office are jointly seeking a Part-time Financial Literacy Specialist to assist students with responsible borrowing upon entry into Santa Fe College, including helping students through the entry process, as well as encouraging consistent student loan repayment upon exit from the College.
Reports to: Coordinator, Admissions Recruitment & Orientation and Coordinator, Financial Aid Client Services
Required: A Bachelor’s degree or an Associate’s degree with two (2) years of related work experience.
Additional Requirements: A criminal background check will be conducted.
Preferred: A Bachelor’s degree. Previous experience in sales, retail, call center or customer service experience. Recent work experience within a semi-automated Financial Aid and/or Admissions office, as well as experience working in a medium to large organization with extensive student/customer contact.
