Job Description
Summary
This newly created position will focus on generating significant annual corporate revenue and brand value through the development, pitching and securing of cause marketing partnerships focused on key Agency campaigns and strategic partner-owned campaigns with current and new corporate partners in alignment with the Corporate Team’s strategy for growth. This requires a collaborative approach with internal stakeholders to consult, strategize, align and implement alongside a corporation to achieve shared value – results for the business and outcomes for kids. In this role, you will support the Corporate Team’s vision and key account strategies for partner growth by opening doors within existing partners and prospective new partners, as well as contribute to this best-in-class unit within the Corporate Team and Agency in this area of expertise.
What You’ll Be Doing (Essential Duties)
Revenue Generation and Partnership Development to secure $1-2 million in annual revenue (20%)
• Execute a cause marketing development plan for an assigned list of existing corporate partners and new prospective partners
• Develop opportunities aligned with agency owned campaigns and initiatives – example: 100 Days of Reading summer learning campaign
• Collaborate on partner-owned campaigns
Contribute to the Success of the Overall Team Strategy (40%)
• Work in close collaboration with key account teams to include cause marketing opportunities in all relevant accounts assigned to you
• Conduct account specific research to inform approach and pitch materials
• Under the guidance of the Head of Cause Marketing, lead the development, presentation and securing of opportunities with existing and new accounts assigned to you
Best-in-Class Stewardship and Program Delivery (25%)
• Collaborate with key account teams or as the Lead on new partners to interface with partner's marketing teams and Save the Children's Marketing and Communications Team during the pitch process, creative development and execution to ensure best-in-class integration and delivery.
• Work collaboratively across all areas of the Agency as an advisor and partner where corporate cause marketing activities have broader impact or implications for the Agency.
Visibility & Knowledge Management (15%)
• Proactively seek opportunities to drive visibility for Save the Children and our Corporate Partnerships through thought leadership and communications.
• Work with the Cause Marketing Team to monitor cause marketing KPIs
• Track cause marketing trends to inform our strategy and pitch development.
Required Qualifications
• Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor Degree or equivalent combination of experience and/or education
• Proven success in fundraising, sales, marketing and promotions
• Proven ability to work effectively and gain the respect of various constituencies including senior corporate executives and decision makers
• Demonstrated knowledge of cause-related marketing, business development, sales, digital promotions and communications
• Proven track record as an effective communicator and negotiator
• Demonstrated ability to engage and work well in a team and with those from other countries and cultures
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% domestically
