Role: Federal Solutions Engineer

Role Summary: This role requires strong technical advisory and direct support of the Federal Civilian Client with current subject matter expertise in geospatial technology, primarily the full Esri stack and ArcGIS Platform. The successful candidate will be able to serve as a trusted advisor and advocate to the customer and stakeholders across the program and provide support and advice on GIS solutions, architectures, best practices, product evaluation, and planning. This role will be mostly technical hands on with requirements to help design, administer and maintain the ArcGIS Platform across the enterprise. The candidate will work with the existing team to ensure Program growth and success. This role may be on-site or remote and will directly support the customer at a government facility.

Work Environment:

    Location: Must be located near St. Louis, MO. Can work remotely near locations flexible:
  • Travel up to 20% of the time

Responsibilities
  • Enterprise GIS (Esri) design, and implementation support and solution development
  • Apply subject matter expertise, best practices and standard operating procedures for Federal geospatial data management
  • Provide reviews, assessments and document recommendations/strategies and architectures in support of an Enterprise IGI&S Program
  • Established experience and understanding of geospatial integration with IT including, web services, databases and security
  • Experience and understanding with data standards and management
  • Working and communicating with stakeholders, various organizations, and the direct customer via meetings, briefings, and presentations
  • Collaborating with Axim technical leadership, management and SME's to provide the customer with the best, most current technical and best practices support and recommendations
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's in geography, computer science, engineering, mathematics, GIS, or a related field, depending on position level
  • Demonstrated proficiency with ArcGIS Enterprise, Portal for ArcGIS/ArcGIS Online
  • Demonstrated proficiency with ArcPy, API for Python, and relevant Python libraries for geoprocessing automation

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance

Experience Preferred (in addition to requirements):

  • 3+ years' experience in geospatial/Esri technology with design, implementation and administration of Esri ArcGIS Platform
  • Experience with extract, transformation and load (ETL) processes or software such as FME
  • Experience with geospatial support for Federal Civilian agencies
