The primary responsibility of a Dry Utilities Principal is to manage ongoing projects, provide leadership to the project management team, and ensure excellent client/utility company relationships. This includes managing higher profile, technical, and more complex projects/clients while also providing support and training to Project Managers, Associate Project Managers, and Project Coordinators for their personal development. The Senior Applicant Design Project Manager is also responsible for maintaining an active marketing role in retaining and procuring new projects with major clients.

Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities include:

    Managing project requirements, schedules, and project status to ensure client satisfaction and project cost-effectiveness,
  • Meeting with clients, project team members, and utility representatives to obtain and communicate pertinent project information, and mediating and resolving disputes
  • They also oversee the collection of project information and schedules, project reporting and status, review contracts and analyze costs, utility contracts, and agreements, conduct field investigations and research, analyze the feasibility of utility additions and modifications and prepare site evaluations, constraints reports, and all relevant cost estimates.
  • The Senior Applicant Design Project Manager also administers utility processes and ensures the timely distribution of a variety of documents such as plans, exhibits, work orders, construction standards, permits, agreements, and invoices
Qualifications

Requirements for the role include:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum of five years of utility experience in the electric, gas, and telecommunications industry
  • Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
  • Candidates need sufficient analytical ability to plan and manage clients' utility needs, understand utility company standards and requirements, and be knowledgeable in relevant government regulations and codes.

The pay range for this California position is $140,000.00- $170,00.00 per year; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
