This position reports to the Chair, Business Administration and the Dean, Business, Technology and Public Service.

APPOINTMENT PERIOD:
Annual renewable 9-month appointment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Instructor has the responsibility for developing curricula and teaching Management and Human Resource courses within the Business Administration Program. In addition, specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  • Student advising, curriculum development, on-line course development, textbook review/selection, assessment, and academic program review activities;

  • Participate in faculty and curriculum meetings, professional development, mentoring adjunct instructors, serving on campus committees, and community activities;

  • Assist with activities related to institutional and program-specific accreditation;

  • Assist with adjunct instructors evaluations including evening, on-line and in area high schools as needed;

  • Maintain appropriate professional certifications and licensures as applicable;

  • Promote an atmosphere of inclusiveness and suppo1t for our diverse student population;

  • Perform other duties as required

MAJOR WORK QUALIFICATIONS:

The Business Administration and Human Resource degrees at Rhodes State College are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). Minimum of a Master's degree in Business, Management, Human Resources, or a related discipline is required. Relevant work experience in the field of Business/Human Resources is required. Preference is given to an applicant possessing professional certification and/or prior teaching experience at the collegiate level. Experience teaching online preferred.

Applicant must have ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Ability to interact positively with students and colleagues is essential. Applicant must be committed to the two-year college mission, value working in a shared governance environment, and be willing to work day and evening hours.

SALARY:
Commensurate with academic preparation, professional experience and professional certifications; includes full benefit package.
