Job Title: Adjunct Faculty, Lecturer of Mathematics/Statistics

Department: Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics

Position No. FP1465

Employment Type: Adjunct Faculty, schedule varies based on course needs. Classes may be taught during the day as well as evenings and Saturdays.

Salary: Adjunct faculty are paid on a per credit hour basis, commensurate with highest degree held.

SUMMARY:

The Adjunct Faculty, Lecturer of Mathematics/Statistics is responsible for teaching lower division mathematics courses. The person in this position will generally teach pre-calculus level, Essential Learning mathematics such as College Algebra, College Mathematics or Introductory Statistics. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Teach undergraduate level mathematics/statistics courses.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

REQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • Master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in Mathematics/Statistics.

  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for teaching.

  • Effective communication and organizational skills.

DESIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Experience teaching college-level mathematics/statistics courses.
