Anna Maria College invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position for an Assistant Professor of Biology in the Health Science Program. The College seeks a broadly-trained biologist to teach on-ground undergraduate students, primarily those majoring in health-related areas, to begin in September, 2019. Teaching responsibilities are varied, with a primary focus on Anatomy & Physiology courses. The Health Science Program maintains a collegial and highly collaborative atmosphere to promote student learning and on-going curriculum development.
Qualifications: Earned doctorate in biology (or closely-related field) from an accredited institution of higher education. Candidates should have a record of innovative teaching at the college level. Preference will be given to candidates that can provide evidence of the potential to pursue a scholarly agenda, in the life sciences or pedagogy, at a liberal arts college. Faculty responsibilities include teaching, advising, scholarship, and service to the college and the wider community.
