DESCRIPTION:

Clark College is currently accepting applications for a part-time Computer and Electrical Engineering Faculty position. This position will teach first and second year Electrical and Computer-related college-level courses. This is an ongoing recruitment to keep a fresh pool of applicants. Lecture rate is $62.80/hour, lab rate is $53.60/hour.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

General Faculty Responsibilities:
  • Instruct Introductory Computer Science and Electrical Engineering classes utilizing techniques and knowledge of the discipline that facilitate student learning.
  • Participate in relevant department activities supporting the teaching and learning environment.
  • Provide appropriate means to assess student progress and provide timely feedback. 
 

QUALIFICATIONS:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree (BS) in Computer and Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience in mentoring, training or teaching
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well with people of all ages, from academically, culturally, and socio-economically diverse backgrounds.
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 
  • Master's degree (MS) in Computer and Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Teaching experience at post high school level 
  • Experience in software/hardware development
