Job Description

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT IIMIT Professional Education (PE), to perform complex and diverse duties in support of the executive director and the director of finance, administration, and HR; and provide support for multiple programs and projects within PE.  Will receive all visitors and guide them appropriately to the persons/offices they are visiting; respond to and triage a variety of inquiries; maintain calendars and schedule complex meetings and travel arrangements for senior PE leadership; oversee the functioning of office equipment; order office supplies; maintain conference and work rooms and other office facilities; interact with internal offices and key administrative and support contacts across the Institute; and ensure, under minimal supervision, that day-to-day office operations run smoothly. 

MIT Professional Education, under the School of Engineering, offers a suite of education programs and products to serve the continuing educational needs of science and engineering professionals globally. 

Job Requirements:

REQUIRED:  high school diploma or its equivalent; at least three years of administrative, office, or related experience, preferably in a higher education setting; in-depth understanding of office management and daily operations; working knowledge of office equipment such as printers and fax machines; excellent organizational, time-management, and verbal and written communication skills; ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment; and knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. PREFERRED:  undergraduate degree and knowledge of Salesforce, SAP, AI tools, and MIT.  Job #24004-5
