Primary Objective Summary:

Technical program management for programs such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud and other technical platforms. Works with key stakeholders across the company to drive timelines and processes that deliver a range of marketing programs and projects on-time, in-scope and within budget. Identify, analyze, design and implement process efficiencies that enable this objective. Solid line reporting to VP of Marketing Operations, dotted line and direct staff member of the VP of CRM Marketing.

 

Responsibilities:

Designs and delivers Program/Project Management (PM) and Process improvements for CRM Marketing programs

  • Demonstrates mastery of all PM deliverables (e.g. charters, timelines, dashboards, communications, mitigation and contingency plans).

  • Using exceptional project management techniques (e.g. Agile methodologies), to design and execute processes and develop program timelines that assist marketing partners to deliver a range of marketing programs on-time, in-scope and within budget.

  • Be the glue that connects the CRM team across Petco.

  • Provide PM leadership for cross departmental teams including a regular cadence of forums and communication of progress, issues, actions, status.

  • Provide light program management support for company-wide workstreams. Examples include:

    • GTM Council and GTM Readiness which have checkpoints that coincide with marketing campaigns

    • Annual-planning, data migration, platform implementation

 

General expectations:

  • Work independently to develop methods, techniques and criteria for achieving objectives.

  • Proactively identify and tackle tough problems with the ability to take complex situations and distill them down to simple and easy to understand analyses for executive decision making.

  • Provide operational and executive status reporting, as well as drive sharing of best practices and learnings across marketing teams.

  • Be a trusted advisor to the management team regarding the effectiveness in the team processes and delivery.

  • Manages the agendas and facilitates leadership forums as required.

  • Manages the expenses and forecasts for assigned budgets.

  • Ability to leverage and understand PM tolls such as Smartsheets & Jira

  • Day to day operational support of CRM organization including process improvement, organizational effectiveness, communications and employee engagement

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and drive results

 

Education and Experience Required:

  • BA or BS in related field

  • Marketing, Marketing Operations

  • 7+ years project management experience

  • 3+ years people management or team lead experience

  • Project or process management experience, certification preferred but not required (e.g. CAPM- Certified Associate in Project Management), PMP, and/or Six Sigma Black Belt, or equivalent experience

  • Experience leading large, cross-departmental teams

 

Knowledge and Skills

  • Extensive program and project management experience, expertise in negotiating fast-changing schedules and juggling numerous projects at the same time

  • Experience and demonstrated success in managing stakeholders

  • Process issue identification, analysis, future state definition and implementation

  • A real change-agent - someone energized by the thought of proactively identifying opportunities and developing innovative methods to solve them

  • Excellent analytical thinking, analysis, and problem solving skills

  • Ability to keep details organized across multiple workstreams and multiple teams

  • Strong written and oral communications skills, including negotiation, presentation, and influence. Ability to listen, not dominating the conversation, and communicate/present succinctly.

  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft suite, SmartSheet, or other project management tools

  • Experience creating proposals and implementation plans.

  • Moderate experience with statistical analysis and financial modeling.

  • Leadership skills including team-building, conflict resolution and consensus-building

  • Ability to manage and influence virtual teams

  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management

  • Experience with organizational effectiveness assessments and improvement methods

The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

 

$87,100.00 - $130,700.00
