Typical Duties

 

  • Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis to ensure that project scope is controlled and deadlines are met.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion in order to drive requirements, understand risks, and manage human resource availability and budgets.
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools. Track project milestones and deliverables.
  • Provide project information to the Information Technology Executive Director, by compiling and summarizing data, preparing reports, and presenting findings, analyses, and recommendations.
  • Keep internal and external stakeholders informed through each successful stage of the project's development.
  • Supervise and review the performance of professional, technical staff and subordinate supervisors.
  • Supervision includes training, delegation of work assignments, employee evaluation and discipline, and employee hire/termination, promotion and pay rate change recommendations.
  • Create and manage the Information Technology budget, monitor fiscal expenditures and billing data, post and/or record information and processes involved for payment. Facilitate project related purchases and annual renewals according to established procedures.
  • Assists the Information Technology Services Manager with short-term and long-term Information Technology project management, including planning, budgeting, and coordinating with other affected departments.
  • Attend meetings and serve on committees as assigned.
  • Adhere to college, federal and state administrative procedures, guidelines, initiatives and directives to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations affecting college operations.
  • Perform other tasks of a similar nature or level as assigned.

 

Qualifications

Minimum

  • Associate’s Degree from an accredited institution in Information Technology, Business or related discipline.
  • Five (5) years of experience in Information Technology, business or a related field.
  • Three (3) years of progressively responsible supervisory experience.
Special Consideration
  • Coding proficiencies: Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JSON, PHP, SQL
Preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Information Technology, Business or related discipline.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in a higher education environment.
