Job Title- FACULTY-RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGY
Position Status- Full Time
Classification Title- Faculty-12 month
Work Location- Main Campus-3600 N. Garfield, Midland, TX
Job Summary- The faculty member will teach courses and labs in the Radiologic Technology program and will oversee all clinical activities associated with the program.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Holds current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and an unrestricted Texas license
- Two years of clinical experience in radiologic technology
- One year of experience as a faculty member in a JRCERT-accredited program
- Experience in curriculum development, instruction, evaluation, and supervision
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and oral
- Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with staff at clinical sites
- Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s license, good driving record, and be insurable on Midland College’s insurance policy
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a related field
- Community College experience
- Familiar with student and academic support services
Essential Functions
- Fulfill faculty roles and responsibilities as outlined in Midland College Faculty Handbook
- Responsible for organization, administration, continuous review, planning, development, and general effectiveness of clinical experiences for students enrolled in the Radiologic Technology program
- Ensure clinical affiliation agreements are current and serve as an effective liaison between the college program and clinical agencies
- Coordinate clinical rotations and generate clinical schedules for all levels of radiologic technology students
- Obtain feedback on the performance of students from practicing radiologic technologists who serve as preceptors
- Teach classes and labs with a lecture equivalent hour (LEH) requirement commensurate with the program curriculum. Summer instruction is required.
- Participate in curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation
- Participate in the preparation of reports for state agencies and accrediting bodies
- Assist with the education-related counseling, program advising of students, and admission process for the program
- Stay current with trends and innovations in the field
- Maintain a well-managed learning environment regardless of instructional location or modality
- Communicate clearly, concisely, and in a caring manner with students
- Identify students who are at risk for course failure and employ early interventions to promote student success
- Communicate learning objectives to students and develop appropriate high-quality assessments to measure the attainment of objectives
- Participate in the program advisory committee
- Continually improve the quality of instruction by reviewing and utilizing methodologies, techniques, and delivery techniques
- Provide access to students through adherence to posted office hours and effective use of Canvas and electronic communication
- Serve on departmental, division, and college-wide committees as requested
- Participate in graduation and other required official college functions
- Demonstrate responsibility to the teaching discipline and the profession by participating in professional development activities
- Participate in recruiting students and/or promoting college programs as appropriate for the teaching area.
- Contribute to the College and the community through self-selected service activities
- Other duties as assigned

- Frequently lifts or moves equipment needed in teaching and directing students in the laboratory and clinical areas weighing up to 30 pounds

Security Sensitivity- All Midland College positions are security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code §51.215, which authorizes the employer to obtain criminal history record information. An employment offer is contingent on completion of a satisfactory criminal background investigation.
Min Salary- $66,399 per year
Max Salary- $81,155 per year
Pay Statement- Salary is commensurate with educational qualifications and experience.
